On Saturday, I posted a message stating that I no longer had VoiceOver speech on my iPhone S e 2020 although Siri and everything else was still functional. Since I had not yet put VoiceOver volume in the rotor, I had no way without speech to check volume status.

I got sighted help to go into Settings, Accessibility, VoiceOver, and Rotor and then turn on VoiceOver volume. VoiceOver is now working as expected.

I post this message in case anyone else ever finds themselves in a similar situation. My thanks to all who responded to Saturday's inquiry and especially to Gordon who nailed the problem accurately.
