Hi all,

I recall seeing a fairly extensive discussion about these and other devices but didn't pay much attention then because I didn't need one for myself.  I still do not need one for myself but my Mom who is 89 this year and is not very tech savvied has lost almost all of her sight and doesn't want to use VO or talkback on her phone.  I am thinking of getting one of these because after demoing giving voice commands to my Iphone she is now interested in doing something similar but not to her phone.  Her occupational therapist has convinced her that devices like echos and echo dots are more accurate and would work better for her.  She says this is based on her experience as an OT.

My question is this, which devices seem the most forgiving for less than perfect speech when giving voice commands?  We also do not want to spend a ton of money in case this doesn't work out well for her.

Any thoughts/ideas greatly appreciated.
