I did see this feature, i.e. detecting stairs, as a feature mentioned with specific models of robot vacuums, so I assumed if this feature wasn't specifically called out then the particular model wouldn't have it. It's good to know that my S7 has this feature. BTW, I did double check and indeed the S7 has a sensor to detect stairs!
