Hello Janet, The information you were given about having to unregister your first computer is wrong. You can use even a personal Microsoft 365 subscription on up to 5 devices at the same time. Therefore when you get your new computer just log in to your account and download the installer and you can install and activate your Office suite on the second computer. Only if you have more than 5 devices you would have to unregister one computer if you want to use it on a sixth device. And sorry, the price apparently is now $69.99 for a personal subscription, here is what is says right on the Microsoft website:
