I have not found a way to include a note to the driver in the Uber app. Someone else may know how to do it.
If Lyft is available in your area, consider downloading the Lyft app and setting up an account. When you are requesting a ride with Lyft, you reach a screen where you confirm or enter your pickup address. There is also a field on that screen where you can include a note for the driver. When you double-tap the button, you see some pre-defined entries for the beginning of the note such as In front of, Gate code, and others. But there is also a choice for you to enter your own note. I think you have 60 characters. After you finish writing or dictating the note, you double-tap the “Add note for driver” button to save the note and include it in the ride request. The next time you request a ride with Lyft, the note you wrote before is now one of the choices in the list of notes. So you don’t have to write the same note every time.
