Go to accessibility voiceover, and then go down to speech rate under speech rate, you can double tap and hold and move it. However, it’s very touchy. I had to be very patient and move my finger very slowly to get it to move for me. It’s rather all over the place so it’s not like a picker. Just be patient with yourself and keep trying. It’s a double tap and hold on that number. Whatever you have it set at 55.

Hi.

I upgraded to iOS 16 Monday night, and noticed that Alex at 50% seemed significantly slower. I changed the rotar to speaking rate, and increased it to 55%. It was speaking a lot faster, so I was hoping to go somewhere in between. I went into Voiceover settings, and tried to slow the rate down. To my surprise, I went from 55% to 45%, so it was even worse, and I thought I could make finer adjustments there. Is there somewhere I can make a happy medium between the huge change in Voiceover, and the smaller, but not small enough, change on the home screen?

Thanks in advance.
