Hi,

Open the Alexa app, then immediately close the app sending it to the app 
switcher.
Open the app switcher & open the Alexa app. You should now have speech as 
normal.
Tap on More bottom left corner.
Swiping down from the top, when you get to Settings tap to open.
Swiping down from the top, when you get to Alexa App Settings tap to open.
Swiping down from the top, the first item is Alexa Hands Free, tap to Enable. 
This setting is a toggle, tapping again would turn the feature off. You want 
Hands Free Enabled.
The next time you open the Alexa app you should have speech.
