Hi Richard,

I have their 9-cup set and also the measuring spoon set and they are very nice.
Just looking on their website they do mention Maxiaids on their website under
online sellers, but not Amazon at all. I also saw only one place in Canada, but
I wonder if that is more of a wholesaler/distributor who then sells to smaller
resellers.

Of course, I forgot to point out, they never say who actually makes the
equipment they sell.
They also have my favorite measuring spoons and cups which are made by Pourfect
Products. They may be a little more expensive when buying direct from him,
Or through Amazon, or LS&S or other places.

Interesting.
I decided to check the NFB Independence Market for kitchen scales.
They sell the same one Sieghard recommended. Here is the information from
their 2021 catalog available in Word from the link following the scales.

TALKING KITCHEN AND MULTIPURPOSE SCALE (VOX-2):
This scale can weigh items up to eleven pounds (5,000 grams) on its 5-inch,
square, stainless steel weighing platform with 0.1-ounce (1-gram) precision. It
also features a tare function, high/low volume switch, and speaks in four
languages (English, Spanish, French, and German). The unit uses four AA
batteries (included).

                      AIK47S

                             $40.00

TALKING KITCHEN SCALE (VOX 3000):
This scale can weigh up to 6.6 pounds (3,000 grams) with 0.1-ounce (1-gram)
precision. Items can be weighed on the weighing platform or in the plastic bowl
which is included. The bowl has a capacity of six cups. The scale also features
a tare function, which allows you to zero out the weight already on the scale.

        AIK40T

I use the one sold by the NFB’s Independence Market. I think it is made in
England.
