Yes, when I use the three-finger double-tap, there's no speech, but the sound
effects remain. Here's a situation in which the VO sound effects are
distracting: I have my IPod on a docking speaker. I go into Ibooks with the
Braille display. Every time I switch pages, I hear a very loud sound-effect for
page-switching, and it sounds almost louder than the music. I really do like he
sound-effects without speech. I just wish that there was a way under certain
circumstances to mute them. Obviously, if I'm using Braille while playing music
with no speech, turning off VO with triple-click-home is not an option. Perhaps
this is a suggestion possibility for Apple for future releases.

Thanks,
Teresa

Slow down; you'll get there faster.
