Earlier this week, Maria Chapman reported difficulty in shutting down her iPhone with version 16.1 of the operating system. This got me to do some exploring. Usually, I shut down my iPhone from the lock screen. I wasn’t getting the sound either. The solution is to unlock your iPhone, and go to the home screen. Once they are, perform the shut down. That’s far, every time I’ve done this, I have received the shut down sound.
