Hi, I love my new iPad mini but am curious to know something... On my previous i Device (iPod 4G) I was able to use other HQ voices besides the US HQ voice. I could do this by setting my region to Australia, for example, to get the Australian Karen in HQ (it would automatically download in about 10 minutes when plugged in).
On the new iPad mini this does not work. Changing my region still keeps the US HQ voice. I can obviously set any voice in my language rotor but even with the region set to Australia, it keeps the US HQ voice and uses a compact version of Australian Karen as the default. Does anyone else have the iPad mini and can you confirm this? What about other devices (i.e. iPhone 5) running iOS 6.0.1? My iPod touch 4G seems to still allow this even with 6.0.1 installed but I also have not changed my region for fear of losing the Australian HQ voice and not getting it back.
