If you used to be able to do that, it doesn’t work for me either running iOS 16.1.1 on the 13 pro.
I usually open my contacts if I don’t know the address and check it before using Siri. Though, I usually use Google Maps but the process is the same. If in Google Maps, I type in a name from my contacts, it will usually come up as one of the choices, but not with the voice command, get me driving directions to Jane Dough… Richard, USA. “Reality is the leading cause of stress for those who are in touch with it.” -- Jane Wagner from The Search for Intelligent Life in the Universe My web site: https://www.turner42.com From: [email protected] <[email protected]> On Behalf Of [email protected] Sent: Sunday, November 27, 2022 9:18 AM To: [email protected] Subject: SIRI and Maps Hi, I thought I used to be able to say to SIRI “driving directions to Jane Doe” and if Jane doe and her address was in my contacts Apple Maps would open and start giving me directions. That doesn’t work for me any more. I can tell SIRI to give me driving directions to a specific address and that will work, but I kind of liked when SIRI could find the address in my contacts because I don’t know all the addresses by heart of course. I often act as navigator to my wife’s driving. So I am just curious if anyone has thoughts or suggestions. Maybe I’m just getting senile and misremembering what I used to be able to do. A common affliction for guys in my age bracket I am told. >From a geezer in Duluth -- The following information is important for all members of the V iPhone list.
