Well, that’s interesting. I have done all the usual things, you know, like, restarting my phone after updating and taking stuff out of the app switcher. Maybe things will settle down. I had been on 15 and just upgraded straight to 16.2. I hope it fixes itself, because it’s kind of annoying not to have Siri open apps. That’s one of the few things I still use it for.Well, that’s interesting. Sent from my iPhone Well, I just did both things with Hey Siri; as well as holding the side switch and asking Siri to open messages and to open Weather. I did it three times in a row with each app and each method. iOS 16.2.

Since upgrading to 16.2 from iOS 15, I have noticed that Siri has become even dumber. The latest thing is that if I ask it to open the Messages app, it wants to read me the most recent message, and then, when I say, that’s not what I want open messages, it thinks, I’m trying to send a message replying to the message it just read, in which I was not at all interested. What the heck has happened with Siri? It’s getting dumber, not smarter. Now it doesn’t want to open the weather app either. It had some nonsense about dark sky, and actions, and even though I said, no, I don’t want that, it just sat there. What the heck good is it?
