I also like the Aftershokz Open Com, otherwise you might want to look at headphone options which have a transparency mode like Apple Airpods. Alternatively there are always your good old wired Earpods which are a great headset and they barely blocks out any external sound.

Hi, I'm not aware of any apps to do what you want but I use Shokz (formerly Aftershokz) bone induction headphones for the very same thing. They leave your ears open so you can hear your surroundings as normal while you hear the audio from your phone through the bone induction headphones. They work very well, especially when outdoors.
