Hi Sieghard,

I was hoping that the iOS authenticator would simply prompt me to either allow
or not allow Twitter sign-in but, alas, it does not.

Scenario, On my PC, when I login to my Twitter account, it prompts me for a
verification code. Then I have to find the code from within the iOS password
app and type it into the PC web browser, manually. The thing is, the only code
that is valid is the one that appears from the moment you begin the log-in
sequence on the PC. Once a new code appears on the phone, it will not work in
the PC web browser.

I thought that when I wanted to login from the PC, I would get a prompt from my
iOS device to either allow or not allow the log-in.

Oh well.

By the way, it took me 15 tries to finally be fast enough to enter the Twitter
verification code on my PC.

Fortunately, I will not need to do this again, from that particular web browser
unless I logout of my Twitter account.

Mark

Authenticator?

If you have to use a code, it is valid for 30 seconds although whenever you
open the app and tap on a particular site you set up, e.g. Dropbox, Amazon etc.
you may not have the full 30 seconds. Voiceover tells you how much you have
left so if it's only 10 seconds or so you can just wait until it renews and
then you have the full 30 seconds which is more than enough time to input a
6-digit code.
And as I said in my previous email, if you turn on passwordless sign in or
whatever it is called for your Microsoft 365 account then you don't even have
to bother with a code, it will just come up with a notification if you are
signingin and you just approve or deny the request, in some cases there might
be a 2-digit number displayed on the computer when you sign in and you have to
select that number from 3 options, but again, it's quite straight forward.

I have used the microsoft authenticator. You must grab the code quickly and
input it in order for it to work.
