The only specific improvement they noted on the AppleVis forum was new voices; there's no way that justifies such a drastic increase in price. I would want to know much more about improvements they hope to make that would justify this than I do now to be convinced; "it's not sustainable" is simply not an adequate answer. It's wise of them to grandfather old users in; I'd seriously consider re-purchasing a Victor Reader Stream or going back to my old Apex to read books rather than pay that much.
