I have just updated to iOS 16.5. Even in iOS 15.7, iOS frequently jumps back several screens in both Google Chat and WhatsApp. This happens no matter whether the screen curtain is on or off. It does not jump back the same amount each time.

Anyways, I am glad I am not the only one and it would be interesting to know if others experience this or sometimes are surprised that focus suddenly jumps to the top of the page even when screen curtain is off.
