There is, two ways to access it: 1. Double tap and hold the App Store icon on your home screen, then select "search" from the context menu which comes up. This puts focus directly into the search field and you can start typing. Make sure you don't forget to tap the "Search" button at the bottom right of the keyboard. As you type you can also touch the screen and find search suggestions, but I find I often have better luck typing the name in full and to then tap enter before checking the search results. 2. Open the App Store, then double tap on the "search" tab at the very bottom right of the screen, then locate where it says "Games, apps, stories and more search field" near the top and double tap to get into editing mode so you can type. Once you double tap the search tab on the bottom it is easiest to do a 4-finger tap near the top of the screen which puts focus on the first element on the screen which is "Search, heading", if you flick right once or twice you should be on the search field which you activate by double tapping on it.
