Comments on a few questions in this thread. Not sure if my model is 10 or 11 but it can be remotely programmed.
When I got my first CPAP over 20 years ago I had a very good tech. He brought me a few masks at a time to try. I tried nearly a dozen masks before I found a full face mask that works for me. At times my nasal passages close and I have to breathe through my mouth. Very few companies will do this much for you and I even had one company that refused to sell me a full face mask as being unsafe. I have gone without my CPAP for a night at times but I don’t get a good sleep and am tired the next couple of days. I now have an old machine that is past its service life but still works. I keep it and all of its parts in a carrying case along with water, battery packs, and any cables I might need on a trip. Just grab it and go, much easier than disassembling my main CPAP. They preferred that I take the machine with me whenever I traveled but it is a pain. When I pressed the doctor, I was told that I should use my best judgement but I should try to use it all the time. I had such a tussle getting used to the mask that my sleep study folks have referred me for the Inspire sa surgery.
