I saw a thread on this on a friends Facebook page. Several people reported having the same issue from a very recent update to Kindle. One low vision person said it seemed to be merging the word at the end of one line with the word at the beginning of the next, even though everything looked correct visually. I told the friend who posted the question to call Amazon Accessibility, so more calls on this would be good.
