Hi Group,

After four days of groaning, carping and gnashing of teeth, I played with the Spectrum TV App for the iPhone and figured out a clumsy but usable work around for accessing channels.  Here's how it works.

1.  Launch the app and move to the bottom of the screen and double tap on the home tab. 2.  Near the top is the search field.  double Tap on the search edit field and the field will open. 3.  Either using the keyboard or the dictation (I use dictation and if I speak slowly, it usually works quite well) and enter a search term. 4.  Now usually you can go to the top of the screen again and see the list of results. You can also tap the search button in the lower right hand corner of the screen and then go to the top and see the results.
5.  One of the results will be your desired channel.
6.  If you tap on the desired result, you are not taken immediately to Live TV, but you are given a list of options for the channel. Choose watch in app and double tap that item.  The station will now start playing live.

Note: you must keep your searches limited to very basic input.  For example, when I searched on WKBW Channel 7 which is my local ABC affiliate, I got a zero results return.  If I just searched on ABC, I got a bunch of results one of which was my local ABC affiliate.  Now the next time you want to switch channels, you will see the recent search results in the screen before you enter anything.  You can use the recent search results to more quickly access your most watched channels--kind of like a crippled version of favorites.

This is clumsy, but at least a usable method until full accessibility is restored.
