Well if anyone knows, I'd greatly appreciate knowing what and where it is
since it doesn't appear to be in the normal two pages of symbols.

Hi Jen, I think if I remember right that there is a special symbols keyboard
that is built into the OS. I forget what the keystroke is to activate it but
I have seen it before.

% is one thing, &, often spelled ampersand, is another.
I've never found anything like it that isn't obvious that it isn't.

No, they are completely different symbols with different usage.
I don't know how to make the upsidedown symbols.
