Hello. I am trying out The Apple Magic Bluetooth Keyboard (I forget the name exactly, but it is the newer version) I have had for a few months to use with an iPad. I have already connected it to my iPhone, but need some help getting started. First off, with the predictive text thing, is there a way to have the phone behave one way when using a wireless keyboard and another with the software or virtual keyboard? For instance, if I did want to know the predictive text when writing with the virtual keyboard, but I did not want to know it with the wireless keyboard? I have already gone into settings, VoiceOver, and Verbosity to set it to play sounds when the predictive text appears, and speak the text when I choose it from the 3 options. Since writing this message on the Bluetooth keyboard, I observe the setting is not sticking. Also, how does one navigate to the predictive area to access the suggestions? Is there a way to read the item which has focus, like using insert with tab would do for JAWS on Windows? That should get me started for now. For context, I have iOS 17.0.2.
