Wayne, I have my alert sounds at 100% and I play haptics with sounds. I don't like doing this way, it makes me think I'm losing my hearing. But I've missed notifications before. Never a call, because it seems like the phone ringers haven't decreased in volume, but in particular, the default tones for in coming texts and push notifications doesn't seem to be as loud as with previous versions of iOS, so if the phone is across the room and I get a text, I at least have the vibration sound to fall back on. I currently have my VO volume set to 40%, but volume is in my rotor, so I can easily adjust it either through the rotor or with the side button. Unfortunately, I don't have a better solution.
