I am having some difficulty getting my new Echo Dot 5th generation going. Got it connected toWi-Fi and did all the set up, I thought. Did recording of voice profile but am not sure it took. Changed wake word to Echo in the app and it reports it is changed to Echo. Tried to use it bu hear nothing. Perhaps volume is at 0. Not sure of all the buttons on the unit. By the way old Echo Dot shows up in app, which I lost track of two years ago. I am planning to use the Echo to control a new Toshiba smart microwave I bought from Amazon. That’s another issue. I have their smart appliance app but already see there are two unlabeled tabs on the screen where you add a device. Haven’t gotten into the smart appliance game before because of fear of the complicated and not always fully accessible set up process. Bill Outman
