If you are on iOS 17.1 or 17.2 have you increased the double tap response time a little? This really made a difference for me with the issue where a double tap was simply registered as a single tap meaning you try to double tap say a home screen icon to open an app but instead you would simply put focus elsewhere on the screen. This is in Settings > Accessibility > Voiceover > Double Tap Time Out. I believe the default is 0.3 seconds and I changed it to 0.5 seconds on the recommendation of somebody else (sorry, forgot who it was). -----Original Message----- From: 'Linda C.
