I got an Otterbox Defender Case for my IPhone 4S, but I really like and find I need one of the tactile screen protectors, so can't use both. I got one of those cases to cover the back that goes around the sides. I don't know that the screen protector will protect the glass from being cracked, in fact doubt that it will, but at least it will keep it from being scratched and smeared in day to day use.
