Vicki, A lightning connector and USB C connector feel very similar especially concerning their depth or thickness. The USB C connector feels just a bit slightly wider in my opinion. The nice thing about both of them is they have no top or bottom differences so can be plugged into a compatible port regardless of which side is up or down.
