Some of you have been most helpful by answering my previous questions in a manner that was both supportive and logical. So I am encouraged to acknowledge what I do not understand and ask another question.
My question today refers to the gesture of swiping up when trying to unlock the phone using face ID. When I pick up my locked phone and swipe down with two fingers, I get the time plus the words, "locked, flashlight off button, camera button." Sometimes the words "swipe up to unlock" appear just after the word "flashlight." The only thing I can do is a three-finger single tap, which takes me back to the home screen. Then I have to type my password. What am I doing wrong? It seems that I have tried swiping up with every permutation available to the human hand!!
