Hello, you put the tablet one tablet in the reservoir wait for it to finish dissolving it usually takes about an hour if you’re doing this with cold water. And yes, they recommend you do two brew cycles for cleaning and then two cycles after you’re done cleaning of just regular water. But I always do three total brews for cleaning and then after that I do 3 brews of just water. I find that works out very well for me so to recap fill up the reservoir with water then put the tablet in the reservoir. Wait for an hour if you’re using cold water for it to dissolve otherwise you can use warm water for it if you want to speed things up, but I wouldn’t if I were you, and then I would do three brews of the solution and then dump whatever waters in there after the three brews and then do three brews of just regular water and you should be good to go. They are individually wrapped well packaged. I do one tablet per month. That’s why I bought the two boxes instead of one box so I could have at least two years worth before I have to buy it again. But if you’d like, you could also buy just the one years worth which is only 12 tablets and they are big enough that you only need to do one per month. Hope that helps. They are odorless.
