iPad Keyboard Commands Here are some iPad keyboard commands from Apple that I just found. Published Date: October 13, 2023 *note, on a Windows keyboard, command is the alt key. • Command+Space: Open search. • Command+Left/Right: Switch to the previous or next app. To see a list of shortcuts that you can use with an app, press and hold the Command ? key when you use the app or on the Home Screen. * I am not finding any real equivalent to the Globe key on a non-Apple keyboard. • Command-H: Go to the Home Screen. • Command-Space bar: Show or hide the Search field. • Command-Tab: Switch to the next most recently used app among your open apps. • Command-Shift-3: Take a screenshot. • Command-Shift-4: Take a screenshot and immediately open Markup to view or edit it. • Command-Option-D: Show or hide the Dock. * I could not get this to work on my Logitech Ergonomic keyboard that is supposed to be for Windows or iOS/Mac. * I've not tried the following, but if you really need to work on customized keyboard commands, it may be worth a try with VoiceOver. These commands are not VoiceOver specific. Customize keyboard shortcuts Open Settings, then tap Accessibility. Tap Keyboards. Tap Full Keyboard Access and turn it on. Tap Commands.
