Actually I was referring to just split tapping on the home screen but since you mentioned it, I was also looking on how to set up typing such that I can touch a letter & when I lift my finger, it is typed. I looked through settings but could not find it & set it up so long ago that I can’t remember what I did. I think this would also help the friend who just started using voice over.
I thought about changing the subject for this but decided I should stick to the thread. I’ve seen so many complaints about changing the subject. Split tap is just an alternative to double tapping, and you get this for free, just like double tapping. -- Christopher (AKA CJ) =>÷ Chaltain at Outlook, USA From: 'Richard Turner' via VIPhone <viphone@googlegroups.com <mailto:viphone@googlegroups.com> > Sent: Wednesday, July 17, 2024 12:30 PM To: viphone@googlegroups.com <mailto:viphone@googlegroups.com> Subject: Re: How to Set Split Tap There is no setting I know of. Split Tap means holding one finger on the icon then while keeping that finger in contact with the screen, tap with any other finger then release. It can be more accurate for some than the single finger double tap. Richard, USA "INTROVERTS UNITE ...
