Your mail prompts me to explain better if you like.
The phone app in which the keypad is contained the numbers are vertical
I'm afraid, 1 all the way down to hash.
I would like to have this as a normal phone keypad, something like three
digits one towwo three at top and 4 5 6 beneath and so on.
Remember the old nokia set up or those house phones?

Hi Tony,
When in the phone app, there are four rows of numbers, three across
and four down. This is standard. When you are typing on an onscreen
keyboard where the letters are, the numbers appear on the top row of
the symbols/numbers view. I do believe that cannot be changed.
Hope this helps,

Okay thanks, it's an iPhone 13 Mini.
Basically in contacts the numbers are in regular mode as it were but
say when in a call setting or if I go in to the phone app where the
digits are, they are in vertical form.
Someone told me that I need to change trthat vertical setting in the
rotor setting but can't see a way of so doing |I'm afraid.
Hope that explains better.

Hello, Tony. If I'm understand what you want correctly, it cannot be
changed. The display of the digits when you want to type a number
cannot be altered. But to be sure I've understood correctly, tell us
whether you're using an iPhone or an iPad and exactly what you want
to do, i.e., type a number on the keypad in the Phone app, for instance.

Subject: The rotor
Hi folk
I'm new to asking a question on this list so here goes now:
My phone numbers are in vertical style and I would like to have them
as in a normal phone set up if you like, one two, three at top etc
so how can I change this pls?
I have checked the rotor in accessibility and I see a rotor setting
that says vertical but I can'st see a way to change this.
Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Tony in Dublin Ireland
