Hi, Mario.  Yes, I understand this.  But the lanyard I have has the back facing camber positioned in the lanyard so that it's at the bottom of the phone.  The speakers and charger are at the top pointed upward while the back facing camera is at the bottom of the phone.  I'm worried this will mess up the camera for things like Aira when you're doing something with two hands and the camera is pointed at the object you're holding and getting described.

This lanyard is supposed to be good for hands free use.

Hi Lisa,
I know some people use a lanyard with the back camera facing forward. With
these two apps the picture defaults to the back camera.

Thanks, Mario.

Then how do people use services like Aira? I've taken pictures for Be My Eyes
to recognize, but I've never done any kind of real time description with Be My
Eyes or Aira, and I will be doing this soon, so just wondering about how the
camera would work in this situation, especially if I need to go totally hands
free for the camera when it's not right side up.

HI Lisa,
This is not Richard, but I can answer your camera question. FaceTime defaults
to the front camera.

Hi, Richard.

When I use face time, does it default to the back facing camera or the front
facing one?

I would suggest doing a facetime call with someone with the camera upside down

Hi, all.

I recently purchased a neck lanyard from AT guys called a slinger slim.

It's about half the size of an iPhone case with adhesives that stick to the
iPhone case and the lanyard.

The person who set up the lanyard said the picture of the lanyard and
an iPhone showed it with the camera part of the phone facing
downward, in other words, the phone is upside down in the lanyard.
This lanyard was specifically recommended to be used with Be My Eyes,
Aira and other hands free video calls.

Does the position of the camera matter when using Aira or be my eyes?
What about a Face Time call or using GPS?
