Ok, two things; can you rely on the friends to leave their computers on for you? Do they let you map into it from your pc?
If you can do those, you can map network drive on your pc to the folder in theirs; check it works before the next step; then flag the new drive letter as accessible to your tonido. That will do it for as many as you can get access to.
