This flicking up with one finger only should work if you are on one of your home screens and wish to go to the next one. When I am on my first home screen, the doc at the bottom has, in my case, four things in it, phone, mail, safari, and music. Your doc may vary. Right above that, it says page 1 adjustable, or whatever page it is on. I also can go to the next home screen with the 3-finger swipe. But if I am not on a home screen, there is no doc at the bottom, and no way to move from screen to screen with one finger. That is only for when I am on a home screen. If I am not on a home screen, the 3-finger swipe is the only way to go to the next screen.
