I was wondering if you could tell me more about the following 2 things a sort of horseshoe shaped around the neck thing with two speakers which sit sort of on your shoulders underneath your ears, SleepPhones which are a soft headband kind of thing with flat speakers over your ears which is very comfortable to wear in bed when you want to sleep. What brand and model are these and how much? Apart from using my iPhone as a phone, texting with Messages, Whatsapp and Messenger, banking apps, weather, Facebook, a lot of home automation stuff and apps related to my retail business, I listen to a lot of Audible books. I have found that especially when I walk from my house to my store and back (about a 25-minute walk each time) and also when I am in the kitchen cooking or baking, using the glasses to listen is one of the more pleasant ways to do this and I have just about every gadget under the sun when it comes to this. I have of course my trusty wired Earpods which are still my go-to headset in many situations, I have a set of Apple Airpods 4 with ANC which can be extremely nice especially if my wife is watching a Filipino comedy on her Filipino channel and can’t stop laughing (never knew what I missed before I had active noise cancellation). I also have an Aftershokz OpenCom bone conduction headset, a Plantronics Voyager single earpiece, an on the ear headset, an over-the-ear headset, a sort of horseshoe shaped around the neck thing with two speakers which sit sort of on your shoulders underneath your ears, SleepPhones which are a soft headband kind of thing with flat speakers over your ears which is very comfortable to wear in bed when you want to sleep and finally a Logitech/Ultimate Ears Wonderboom 2 Bluetooth speaker. Actually just listing them really makes me realize how many devices that is. The ones I use most often and frequently are my Earpods, SleepPhones, the Wonderboom 2 for in the shower and I also like that around the neck speaker gadget in the summer when I am outside. What I use least these days are my Aftershokz OpenCom, the Plantronics Voyager and the large on the ears and over the ears headset. As I said, my Ray-Ban glasses are certainly becoming a favourite device for listening to Audible books as well as for making and accepting phone calls when I am out and about. Only thing to keep in mind is that if there are people around they might not be the best option as others who are quite close can hear what is coming from the speakers, probably a good idea to play a book or something at a comfortable volume and to let somebody else wear the glasses so you can actually stand next to them and hear what it is like. At relatively low volume it doesn’t go too far, but it’s not as private as a headset. How are things in WinterPeg? Up here in Northwestern BC winter has certainly arrive now, it snowed steady a good 24 hours starting yesterday although it was well below 0 so relatively small flakes with probably no more than 15 cm accumulation so far, but more is supposed to be coming tomorrow, Saturday and Sunday.
