| I have to admit that I do not use many Siri shortcuts. However, with this new setup, the default focus is on the read tab. Unless you turn on the Edge Detection, it is basically Shorttext. So, asking Siri to open Seeing AI will default to using shorttext if you do not change anything. If you want the document channel to function instead of the shorttext, turn on edge detection. And, in my testing, handwriting is on automatically, so you need do nothing.

As indicated on the unmute.show podcast, a shortcut could be set up in the past to activate a shortcut that would bring up seeing a eyes short text feature. Now that shortcut no longer works without modification, as all reading functions have been consolidated into one category. As an advanced user, I had no difficulty with this, but I have clients for whom this was a major challenge as they could no longer follow the steps That were outlined in the podcast. They did this to consolidate all reading tasks. That’s my understanding. It makes it harder to use shortcuts. That’s for sure. Amy. Sent from my iPhone I don't like the new layout for Seeing AI. When I open the app it does go to short text. I have already sent my feedback to Seeing AI with my comments about the changes. Maybe if we all write to them they will put it back the way it was. Hello,
Until
now, when starting
Seeing AI, Channel was on the screen and the Short Doc channel was the
default. It was
at the bottom of the list.
When
my groceries were
delivered, I activated Seeing AI and simply pointed the lens at
each of the package
or jar just received.
Now
the channel list is not
on the screen and the default is different.
Now
I have to flick around
and eventually I get the
channel list
with “product” the default. It is now at the bottom of the list.
The
list does not have
either:
Short Doc or Document.
Is
there a way to get back the Short Doc?
