I take it all back. I am clueless.
I did create a shortcut that if I ran it from Shortcuts would work. But I have totally failed on getting the Triple Tap the back of the phone to launch that, or any other shortcut. I must be doing something in the wrong order, but this is clearly why I have never used them, even though I have several in their from various apps. Thanks for trying, but there is something with associating a working shortcut with the gesture that I just don't get. I found the set silent mode shortcut I created way down in that list. If you are not seeing shortcuts and actions then I am not sure why. did you turn backtap on prior to choosing either double or triple? In there you can determine which shortcut to associate with the tapping. It has to be a shortcut you have already defined or is a already established shortcut. I hope this is clear enough.
