My daughter-in-law, who lives about 100 feet farther from the woods than I do has perfect coverage; we both have Verizon. My son has had the ring problem some. I'll ask him about Announce Incoming Callers, because he likes that feature. I helped him set it up on his new phone.
Right now, I have Bluetooth turned off, as it seems that my phone does not static as much with it off than with it on. That, of course, is the third problem. I have been reluctant to call Apple, because I wonder if it is not a phone problem, thought I would check with lists, just to see if anyone had any ideas. So, it looks like tomorrow is call Apple Day for me.
