Siri doesn't read your voice mail, it should be able to play the recording someone left for you, but if there is the text transcript, that is VoiceOver reading it. The recording plays through the earpiece at the top of the phone and is very quiet, unless you can find the speaker button or, what I prefer to do, is put on earphones to listen to voice mail.
