Hi, VOiceOver tends to do automated translation after a delay. Since there were no numbers entered, it might consider that you did not want to enter a number. I believe there is a setting to only translate to Unicode after punctuation/space/tab/enter, this would prevent the translation timeout. Or you could use the braille notes functionality access when pressing dots 7 and 8 . This notepad seems to never do translation until you copy it out of the note.
