I also found out when opening a message to respond that "record audio" is the default not the "dictate". Go into setting, apps, messages. It will say "show record audio by default. Tap the "show dictation" and it will revert to dictation. Also I cannot figure how to get the "tap back" menu to show up. It was previously to the left of the "add" button and one downward flick to reach "tap back". Any help appreciated. In Speech settings, when you touch Alex to get focus on it, flick up or down to delete and double tap.
