Kim,

The punctuation didn't come from YouTube. It came from the rotor.

Swipe up and swipe down do whatever the rotor is set to. While you were
hunting for a delete action, the rotor was almost certainly sitting on
Punctuation, so every one of those swipes moved the level. Punctuation is a
speech setting, not an app setting, which is why it followed you into
everything. That is also why the reboot changed nothing. A saved setting
survives a restart. The reboot failing is good news, because it means
there's a value to put back, not a glitch to wait out.

What I'd check first is what "turned off" actually did. Taking Punctuation
off your rotor and setting the punctuation level back down are two
different actions, and only the second one quiets it. Removing the dial
from the dashboard does not turn the heat down. So put Punctuation back
among your rotor items, turn the rotor to it, and swipe until it announces
the level you want.

Activity is something else. It's a saved bundle of speech settings you
attach to an app, so it will never hold a delete command. It is also the
one other place a punctuation level can live, so if you have one running,
look there too.

On the downloads: swiping found nothing because Actions only shows up on
the rotor when the item under your finger has actions attached. The delete
for a downloaded video sits in that row's own menu button instead. I won't
guess what this version of the app calls that button. Somebody here on the
same build can give you the exact label.

Does Punctuation still come up when you turn the rotor, or has it gone from
the list?

VaShaun
