I am surprised I haven't seen a post about this from any Canadians who have
upgraded to an iPhone 18 Pro. I received mine on Tuesday and to my surprise
discovered that there now is also no more physical SIM tray. I don't know if
that change was already made with the iPhone 17, but my iPhone 16 Pro
definitely still had a SIM tray/slot. At least switching to eSIM was extremely
simple, once I finished setting up my new iPhone, I went to settings and right
near the top saw an entry to activate a cellular plan, I tapped on it and was
asked if I wanted to transfer the phone number from my old phone, I confirmed
and if I remember correctly also had to confirm on my old iPhone, at the end I
received a message that the number had been transferred and activated with an
eSIM. I was quite pleasantly surprised how easy this was.

Best regards,
Sieghard
