Yes, you can read books with braille displays, but you won't be able to do continuous reading like you can with speech in VoiceOver. You'll have to manually advance page by page through the book. This is a limitation of Apple I believe but I'm not 100% sure on that. Anyway, whether it's Nook, iBooks, or Read2Go, you won't be able to read without having to advance by either page or section. However, beyond that, most materials you'll find in iBooks and Nook are readable in braille. It's simple to do this, space with o to go forward a page and space with ow (2-4-6) to go back a page, but it's something you should be aware of if you plan to do lots of reading.
