Hi Kawal, If you like the features of the Apple TV and have a receiver with HDMI or even just an optical input you wouldn't even need a TV. You could still use it as an Airplay device or to listen to YouTube, Netflix, Internet Radio or to stream content from your computer.
Of course a TV nowadays takes up a lot less space than it used to since you can get TV's that are so flat that you could simply hang them on a wall. My Sony LCD TV is one of the older generation and compared to the new ones it is relatively thick, but even if Apple made a complete TV it would take up just as much space as any other TV and the current Apple TV is such a tiny box that it doesn't really take up any room, I have it sitting just under my TV where it's hardly noticeable.
