Thanks for those who have reassured me about this. I know I don't really need to turn off notifications in locked screen; it just somehow makes me feel safer - yes, I know that's illogical! But I think i will go ahead and try it. Half of my hurry on Sunday morning when I get to church is untangling earphones or pulling earphones from the bottom of my bag, etc.
