Rob, I use Navigon in the UK, the British map only version is about £30, it is very good in my view, although do not expect Look Around type data from it. None of the mainstream GPS solutions offer this.
The UK map is about 250Mb and the aqpp itself requires a further 180Mb or so of downloaded content.
