Since VizWiz already does this, and since replicating the same service wouldbe a bit redundant when it comes to crowd sourcing, why not instruct sightedvolunteers to convey a bit more detailed information. In other words, thetechnology and structure is already there, it is now an issue of helpingothers help us. Like I mentioned before, simple details such as name ofproduct rather than "soda" would be helpful. Title of book rather than "bluebook" would be helpful. If the sighted person has no concept of what kind ofinformation we need, they will respond in a manner by which "they" believewe need. They will convey the information "they" believe we need using theirpersonal perspective and not necessarily the information we are looking tobe described from a blind person's perspective.

Might there be a way to force crowd sourcing in a future release? Forexample, I took a picture of a bottle of wine the other day. The objectrecognition engine came back with "wine bottle". Well Dah. Lol. I'd reallylike to have been able to force a crowd source on the picture to see if Icould get more specific.

I have though is that sometimes, you take a picture of something, and
nothing happens. It doesn't tell you the image is being processed or
anything

Please try the following for best results:
*use under good lighting conditions. (I believe most current update
automatically turns on flash if it is needed.)
*try to take one picture at a time and give enough time so the person on
other side can send back their description
*Try placing eye of camera at center of object or what will be the picture
to be recognized.

*If too proximal to object then back off and if too distal then bringcamera


a little closer.

*Personal suggestion: try not to get too picture happy and snap picturesof

rocks, sand, or other frivolous objects as those individuals out there
recognizing objects might feel as though they are wasting their time
describing meaningless things.
